Teens (14-15)

Teens are the oldest members of the regular camp program.  Special components of the Teen Division programming include Teen Electives, the very exciting, much anticipated Teen Overnight at the Funplex and the twice a week trips that take the Teens to places like Rock Climbing, Powerhouse Studios, shows, Liberty Science Center, Gamer’s Paradise, Tomahawk Lake, Roller Skating, Bowcraft Amusement Park, and more.  Trips vary from summer to summer.   Please see below to learn more about TAG.   Activities for fun and growth at camp are swimming 4 times/week, nature/science, performing arts, computers/media, bicycle riding, Challenge Sector, sports and fitness, tennis, cooking, yoga,  Fun Zone, social skills group, arts and crafts, and academic reinforcement.

T.A.G. Team time (Teens Achieve Greatness) is designed to give our older participants (14 and 15 year olds) an introduction to learn pre-vocational skills through hands-on activities, workshops and trips. Examples of trips include: restaurants, pet stores, plant stores and more to learn about jobs in each of those environments. Our teen participants complete interest surveys, community service projects and help out in various jobs around Harbor Haven. The one hour weekly sessions conclude with a certificate of recognition for each teen for emerging vocational skills. Each summer we add new exciting programming for developing the skills contained in the transition goals portion of the IEP.
