Harbor Haven does not have any cooking facility on site.  You may choose to send your child’s lunch or register for paid lunch options on Monday-Thursday.  FRIDAY LUNCHES PROVIDED BY AREA RESTAURANTS ARE COMPLIMENTARY!

Our beautiful outdoor lunch pavilion is perfect for that “camp” feeling.  Due to Kosher dietary laws at the Golda Och Academy where camp takes place, meat lunches may not be eaten inside the school building.   When inclement weather is predicted, please send a non-meat lunch. All types of beef, poultry, pork and shellfish are not permitted. (Other kinds of fish, such as tuna are fine.)

All lunches are refrigerated promptly upon arrival. We are unable to microwave lunches, due to time constraints and the distance of the kitchen to the lunch tables.

If you send an item with any type of nut product, please write "Lunch contains nuts" directly on the lunch bag or on a sticker that is placed inside or on the lunch bag. (Children with nut allergies will not sit near a child eating nut products brought from home.)

If your child forgets his/her lunch, we always have nutritional choices available.

We provide juices, or cold water at lunch time. We can provide milk although it is not typically put on the table. Please let us know if your child drinks milk at lunchtime.  Cold water is available throughout the day.

Harbor Haven provides a mid-morning snack and an afternoon snack. Morning snack may be graham crackers, animal crackers, oatmeal cookies, fruit, pretzels or cereal snack bags or other similar choices. Afternoon snack may consist of cookies, fruit, ice cream, ice pops, pretzels, etc. Two options will be offered at each snack time. If your child is on a restrictive diet or has food allergies, we will have some alternate choices.  However, you may be asked to supply some acceptable snacks.
