Sarah , the assistant director, has been a member of the Harbor Haven staff for nine years. She started as a group counselor and rose in the ranks to become an assistant supervisor, supervisor and in 2008 will be serving for the third year as assistant director in Marlboro. Having worked previously at two other summer camps, she is going on her eleventh year in summer camp management.
Sarah obtained her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in Rehabilitative Psychology. She received her Master’s Degree from NYU in Counseling Psychology. She has worked with special needs children and adults in numerous settings throughout her undergraduate and graduate years.
Sarah is currently working as a mental health counselor for Choices for Change. She works in private school settings counseling elementary, middle and high school aged children, who are exhibiting challenging emotions and behaviors. Sarah also works year round in the Harbor Haven office in the areas of programming and staff development.
