Harbor Haven does not have any cooking facility on site, therefore a nutritional lunch should be sent in a disposable bag with your child’s name and group number clearly marked, on Mondays, Tuesdays Thursdays & Fridays.  Due to Kosher dietary laws at the Schechter Campus, only non-meat lunches are permitted. All types of beef, poultry, pork and shellfish are not allowed. (Other kinds of fish, such as tuna are fine.) On Wednesdays we provide lunch (see below for more details.) On Mondays and Thursdays there is a paid kosher meat lunch option available. (Click here for details)

All lunches are refrigerated promptly upon arrival. We are unable to microwave lunches, due to time constraints and the distance of the kitchen to the lunch tables.

We will provide you with “Lunch contains nuts” stickers to place on your child’s lunch bag if you send an item with any type of nut product.

If your child forgets his/her lunch, we always have nutritional choices available.

We provide juices, or cold water at lunch time. We can provide milk although it is not typically put on the table. Please let us know if your child drinks milk at lunchtime.  Cold water is available throughout the day.

On Wednesdays,  we provide lunch. The tentative menu is as follows:

July 21st    Baked Ziti & salad
